Choosing Skradin accommodation by your park plan
Skradin accommodation makes most sense when you want the town to be part of your stay as well as a starting point for Krka. Hotels and hostels, private accommodation, camping and marina categories appear in the local accommodation directory. Start by choosing the kind of stay you need, then look at its exact address in relation to your arrival and intended park entrance. A listing in Skradin should not replace checking the actual route to the boat or riverside path.
The useful comparison is between the town access at Skradin, the road entrance at Lozovac and a base in Šibenik with onward transport. These choices serve different daily routines. They are not a ranking by price, quietness or quality. Decide whether you want to explore the town, drive between park sites or return by regional transport, then use the arrival guide to connect that choice to your accommodation.

Staying in Skradin for the town and river approach
Skradin is the departure point for the park boat and the starting area for the walking approach. From 1 April to 31 October, the boat transfer to Skradinski buk and back is included in admission, with a journey of 20 minutes each way. If that arrival is central to your plans, compare the accommodation address with the route to the departure point rather than assuming that every property is within an easy walk.
The walking and cycling route from Skradinski most is 3,400 m, so it belongs in the day’s walking plan alongside the visit itself. An overnight stay does not make that approach shorter or turn it into a vehicle entrance. The boat and riverside access guide helps separate those options. Leave some room for the old town and local sights if staying in Skradin is meant to add more than a place to sleep.

A park excursion with selected-hotel collection
Transport and a professional guide are included. Hotel collection is available from selected hotels on request in Split, so match the programme to your departure base.
Lozovac for a road-based visit
Use Lozovac as an entrance criterion if arriving by car is your priority. It is the main road entrance for Skradinski buk, with free parking at the entrance. This is useful for comparing the route from a potential accommodation address, without making assumptions about the facilities or surroundings of any individual property.
Private cars normally use the park access road from November to March. From April to October, park buses provide that section, with a walking alternative also available. Account for this change when comparing a town base with a road-based stay. Having your own vehicle is a way to connect entrances and accommodation; visitor paths remain walking routes. Decide which sites you actually want before choosing a location merely because it appears near the park on a map.
A base in Šibenik and the return journey
A stay in Šibenik involves a separate regional connection or transfer to Skradin. ŠIKBUS line 54 serves the route, with the operator’s timetable introduced from 3 September 2026. Select a return connection as well as an outward one before making a bus-based park day part of your accommodation plan.
If choosing an organised excursion instead, match its departure and collection area to where you will stay. The excursion offered on this page includes transport, a professional guide and hotel collection from selected hotels on request in its departure-city context. That collection arrangement concerns selected hotels in Split; a stay in Skradin needs its own arrival plan. Treat collection as a feature of the actual programme rather than a general benefit of booking any local hotel.
Private stays, camping and practical questions
A private apartment or another private stay can suit a visit where you prefer to arrange your own daily transport. Compare the listing’s facilities and arrival arrangements directly, especially if parking, luggage or step-free access matters to your party. A hotel label alone does not answer those questions either. Ask about the features you need instead of judging the whole stay by its accommodation category.
Camping listed in the Skradin town area is separate from the prohibition on camping inside the national park. Use an established campsite and its conditions; a park car space is not an overnight accommodation plan. For a day in the park, take firm footwear, layers and enough water. Check the opening calendar before fixing your daily schedule, particularly in winter when shorter visiting hours and the absence of the regular Skradin boat change the shape of the day.
Frequently asked questions
Does every Skradin hotel include a park transfer?
Choose your accommodation and transport separately. Compare the property address with the park access you want, and use only the collection arrangement stated in an excursion’s programme.
Should I choose Skradin or Lozovac?
Skradin suits a town stay with the seasonal boat or walking approach. Lozovac is the main road entrance with free entrance parking and seasonal access arrangements.
Can I camp in the national park?
Camping is prohibited inside the park. Campsite accommodation in the Skradin town area follows its own conditions and is a separate choice from parking for a day visit.
